Creative Cuisine with a Theme
Culinary Cuisine Extraordinaire
Miss Belrose has a knack for finding interesting ways to showcase a theme. Each week, she worked closely with Mr. Ferrari and Mrs. Baker to concoct a culinary creation that represented our theme of the week! All of the projects below are 100 % edible.
Koi Cupcakes
Ingredients:
The fish – orange circus peanuts
orange M&M’s
Chocolate Morsels
vanilla frosting as the “glue”
Cheerio's
light blue-frosted cupcakes.
Cupcake mix & tins.
After baking a delicious batch of cupcakes, simply frost with your favorite frosting after mixing it with a little blue food coloring. Assemble the fish by placing one circus peanut across the center of the cupcake. Using another circus peanut, cut into fourths, place one piece equidistant on the compass points of the cupcake top. Using a dot of frosting, on the front of the center circus peanut, place two M&M's for eyes then place a chocolate morsel in the center of each M&M. Just below the M&M's, place one Cheerio to appear as the mouth of the fish! Enjoy your delicious creation!

Edible Penguin Cookies
Ingredients:
2 Oreo Cookies per penguin
Frosting
Candy Corn
Chocolate Chips or Hershey Kisses.
Begin with one Oreo cookie. Twist apart. One half will become the head of the penguin and the other will serve as the body, these should be placed cookie side down so the white creme filling will serve as the "glue". Using another Oreo Cookie, twist off one side and break into two pieces. You should have two semi circles. These are the wings of the penguin. Place them onto the body of the penguin cookie side up. Spread each semi circle out like wings. Place two candy corn at the base of the body as the webbed feet. In the center of the Oreo Head, use a Hershey Kiss as the beak. Add M&M's for eyes. You can also use chocolate chips for the beak and eyes. Now your penguin is complete! Eat as a special treat!
